not sure about Costa Verde Blvd, but I knew a couple had 1b1b in La Jolla for $900, ofcouse not furnitured. If full furnitured, probably won't be lower than $1200.

We are chinese scholars,now living in an 2 bedroom/1 bathroom/1 kitchen apartment (WITH SPA,SWIMMING POOL,GYMNASIUM,Laundry utilities)near ucsd,only 5 minutes free ucsd bus from apartment to ucsd campus .We are returning to China at the end of August(08/31-09/03).If you are interested in my apartment ,please email me as soon as possible!We will answer you as soon as possible! all kitchen utilities:including 1 pan,2 boilers,1 "gao ya guo",pancake turner,knife,fruit knife,cutting board,bowls,plates,chopsticks,spoons,microwave,coffee boiler(if you like coffee or tea)
4 mattresses,among them two single mattresses,two queen mattresses
1 sofa
two chairs, two desks
two table lights,one floor lighter,
10-15 clothes hangers
ONE telephone
even the quits ,pillow,bed sheets are free!

only 5 minutes free ucsd bus(available ) from apartment to ucsd campus or 25 minutes walk!By the way,the free ucsd bus are available every 5 minutes on weekdays.

10 mintues walk or 3 minutes free bus to UTC(Public Transportation transfer center,large shopping mall)and Albertson supermarket,15 minutes walk or 10 minutes bus to Vons supermarket
