我的H4签经――2004年3月1日一签过[美国]

之前在BBS或其它网站上吸取了许多H4签证经验，在此向大家表示感谢，饮水思源，在此也讲一讲我的签证经历，有点长篇大论，但希望对大家有所帮助。

我的情况是：LG去年11月获得H1B签证，12月赴美工作，我于今年3月在上海申请签证。我们去年10月登记，11月举行婚礼并去泰国渡蜜月。我是在今年2月23日申请预约的（3个人同时打预约电话N久才打通），因为网上说预约已排到3月底了，所以当预约接线员问我希望几号面签时，我说越快越好，没想到接线员告诉我他可以帮我安排在2月27日面签，我当时还吓了一跳，不知道是不是因为已在网上填过DS156表的关系才可以这么快，忙说那也太快了，他就在电话那边直乐，后来我要求再晚一点签，他就说3月1日，我同意了。连忙让LG补寄材料，主要是最近的工资单和bank statements，周二寄出正好周五收到。这一周工作之余都在准备签证，整理材料、冲印数码照片和准备签证问答。



建议大家都上网下载签证表格，这样确实可以得到优先处理，下载地址在美国驻上海领事馆主页上有链接，在网上填写完毕后按continue键会自动转换成acrobat格式（当然前提是你装了acrobat软件），以后发现填错可以重新到网上填一次在重新转换成acrobat格式你会得到一个新的条形码表格，只要在签证当天带去的打印出来的条形码表格是对的就可以了（其中有选择no项的如果下面有空格可以填Not applicable，如果填不上去不填也可以，因为是用电脑填写，不象其它人说的一定要在空格中填满No，Not applicable或none，但如果可以在电脑上填进去的话就尽量填满Not applicable）。



有一个窗口单独收有条形码的表格，不用象其他人一样排队交表。有很多的老人申请签证，填表经常出错，还经常为排队先后次序唠唠叨叨，特耽误时间，所以准备网上的条形码表格可以直接到优先受理的窗口交表，节约时间，还可及早坐下来，缓和一下情绪。注意，从网上下载的表格一定要打全，共3页，前2页打在一张纸的正反面，最后1页单独打一张。当天有一个F2漏打了第3页不得不重新手填了一张表，耽误很多时间。



我拎了3大本相册，包括生活照、婚纱照、婚礼照、父母合照、蜜月照等等，手都快断了，并且准备了一大堆很充分的涵盖各个方面的材料（list附后）。虽然我知道很多材料签证官未必会问，但是带多一点，他看到你这么多材料，心理上就会觉得你应该准备很充分没有问题。所以为心理攻势起见，建议大家尽量多准备材料。我看到签证当天很多人只带了薄薄的几片纸，照片也没几张，站在那里心里发虚，不住地问别人问题。所以材料准备充分还是很重要的，这样可以给自己很大信心，有利而无害。



当天我自信满满但又有点紧张，面谈是不按顺序叫号的，所以虽然我是大概50位以后进入领馆，但因为是在网上填的条形码表格，直接到优先处理的窗口交了表，并被要求同时交了中信银行的收据、HIB的I797表和结婚证。面谈时先是一个窗口在8:45开了，叫了几个号有人上去面谈，大多过了，有一个因为护照问题没过。9:00陆续又有两个窗口开了，奇怪，都是boy，共3个boy，没有什么网上说的亚裔girl或金发mm的。可能因为是条形码表格所以我的面谈较前，在前10位以内解决。



轮到我，我拎着一堆东东过去，摊在签证官（一个非常handsome的boy，是3个里面最最帅的）前面的平台上，期间还弯下腰捡了几张不小心掉在地上的钱：）。



本来准备了documents list 并给所有材料标上号，以及准备了LG给他的信，但我没有主动给签证官，就堆在窗外让他看有一堆材料等着他问呢，外加3大本相册。果然他后来没问我资金证明、结婚公证等等其实同样挺重要的证据。



Me: Good Morning, Sir.

VO: 你好。

然后他居然用中文和我开始了对话，事先准备的英文没用上，而且我看他一句又一句中文显然是想锻炼他的中文能力，我只好也不用英文了，挺不爽的，其实我的英文还可以的。

VO: 还给你收据。

Me：谢谢。

VO: 你是什么时候结婚的？

Me: 如实回答。

VO：你们什么时候认识的？

Me: 1997年。

VO：你们怎么认识的？

Me：如实回答。

VO：你们有照片吗？

Me：窗口塞不进我的相册，就贴在窗口上翻给他看，因为相册厚又有很多照片，他看了几页就摆摆手表示满意不需要再看了。

VO: 你们有婚宴照吗？

Me：窗口又塞不进我的相册，又贴在窗口上翻给他看，还是因为相册厚又有很多照片，他还是看了几页就摆摆手表示满意不需要再看了。

VO: 你在上海工作吗？

Me：是的。

VO：你打算在美国呆多久？

Me：在我LG的H1B有效期内。（我在DS156上写的是6个月，不过没关系，因为根据美国法律，F2和H4都可以在另一半的居留期内停留在美国，所以尽管实话实说）

VO：所以你会辞职 / 所以你还会再回上海工作？（注：这句话由于话筒音质不清没听清，反正不是前半句问话就是后半句意思。

Me：我决定不要求他重复一遍问题，就直接回答了Yes，他没再表示什么。

他看了看我堆在那里的材料，没要求向他提供什么材料，喃喃地说I see no problem. 但后来看到我这么多材料在他面前堆着，还是故意问一句：你LG的生日多少，我当然回答得很迅速，他又在电脑里的申请表格上核对无误。还是那句老话：Pls. Go to Window 11 to get your visa.



我在临走收拾材料时，他看着我一堆材料说，其实你没必要准备这么多的。哈哈，正中下怀，我就等着他这句话呢，就是要他看到那么多材料堆在他目前，在心理上先倾向给我签证。我和他调侃一下然后thank you very much就走了，后悔没加一句you are very handsome and nice. 不是因为他给我签证我才说他帅，他真的非常帅，一副白马王子形象，而且说话很和蔼，笑得很灿烂。



事先准备了签证对答，见如下所列，自己觉得应该不会有超出准备范围的问题，果然都在我的预想之内。每个人可根据个人情况给出相应的回答或准备一些个人问题，但我想基本的无非是这些问题了。



等11号窗口发签证的时候和一个F2还有一位老人聊天，缓和一下他们的紧张情绪。还有当天我看到廖昌永也去签证，本想请他签名，但没好意思就没过去。
