general speaking, when you select/buy a lens, you should know what you use it for, for which camera (nikon, canon, canon 10D, 1D, or 1Ds), what your budget is, the lens specifications, the MTF chart, the performance, customer reviews, sample pictures (no PS, not a photography work), ....

if you want to do the comparison, you should test them at the same conditions.

7456，刚刚写了半天，死机了

我贴那些图只是看一下他们各能拍出什么类型的片子,不是比较画质.

MTF曲线我看见了,但是看不懂,也懒得研究怎么看那个曲线的说明,毕竟我不是器材派. 而且,看了这么多天,我发现自己现在无论从摄影技术还是从金钱上来说都没到追求最高画质的水平.


50mm/1.4很不好吗? 有些久经杀场的大侠,好像都更喜欢标头.虽然canon的标头并不很好.但是名标头要两三千阿.
标头一便宜,二轻,三有大光圈,四是拍人像的快镜头.

camera还用说吗? 我目前最多是10D这个档次的,1Ds绝对不会买的(除非从天上掉下来,哈哈),相机品牌如不出意外就canon了.

我最新的wish list:

EF 17-40/4L
EF 100mm/2.8 Macro
EF 70-200/4L (我最终还是想妥协为XXB了)
50mm/1.4 or 85/1.8

如果选50mm/1.4,似乎可以不考虑 28-70mm/2.8L了 (这中焦可不便宜,要1000刀),但是又不知道是不是 85/1.8 更好一些 (可以拍远一点的人像)

我刚发那个贴时也是想比较一下几个镜头的优劣的,但是,很快就把 suppose最好的两个(85mm/1.2L,135/2L)排除了,因为,太贵,不适合非专业的.用一句DX们的话说,就是 不会使用利剑的人反而容易被利剑所伤.

下面的问题是到底是用 50mm 焦距还是 85mm焦距了.
这两个镜头的价格和质量都相差不多.

after I selected 17-40 f/4 and 75-300 f/4.5-5.6 IS, you see that I am missing the 40-75 mm focal range, and I need a large aperture lens for low-lighting condition. So the 50/1.4 is the best choice since

50/1.0 tooooo expensive, 50/1.8 tooo ugly, 24-70/2.8 tooo expensive and 1.4 to 2.8 ----- 2 stops,

EF 50 mm/1.4 USM is the second expensive lens in 50/1.4. EF 50/1.8 only $70 is very good lens.

if you are very interested in taking portrait picture, you can select EF 50/1.4 and EF 85/1.8 both if you buy 10D. if only one, for 10D, choose 50/1.4. most of people believe, 85/1.8 is better for head and shoulder pics, 50/1.4 is better for half or above or multi-person.if you use 10D or the camera with 1.6 crop factor.

因为如果要单比标头成像质量的优劣的话,canon远排不上队了,还有leica,菜丝....一些著名标头要$2000--$4700

For example, check CONTAX MM 55/1.2 and LEICA M 50/1.4 SUMMILUX-M (46MM)

could you just follow me but xxb or the new released 75-300 DO IS replace my g lens (75-300), and use the 17-40 or telezoom lens act as the close-up lens if you are keen on the close-up picture with the micro lens ?
